Over 200 pieces of fit-for-purpose Australian made furniture
Located close to the breathtaking Wynnum-Manly waterfront, this village stands as a beacon of community spirit with its vibrant independent living units and serviced apartments.
Despite being established over three decades ago, the central hub of Bethany Christian Care Janoah Gardens, the community centre, had retained its original furniture from years past.
It was time to breathe new life into this important community facility and give residents an opportunity to experience genuine companionship in fresh, revived surroundings.
The community centre was refurbished and re-opened with new retirement living furniture, a modern kitchen, handy storage areas, and comfortable seating. The improved layout encouraged social interaction amongst the residents.
Creating a new space for the retirement living community to come together
The goal was to modernise the village community centre and make it more relaxing and comfortable for the residents.
The inside of the community centre was completely redone, with new ceilings and floors.
The design aesthetic for this project was inspired by the nearby Wynnum-Manly waterfront and features plenty of natural light, cool blues, soft greens and neutral hues, reflecting the beautiful ocean and sky scenery.
We crafted over 200 pieces of fit-for-purpose furniture for the project, all of which were handcrafted in our Brisbane workshop to meet the specific needs of the village residents.

The residents love the new furniture and refurbishment of the community centre.
They particularly enjoy meeting friends and relatives in the new café, which has been furnished with our tables and chairs.
The village has never looked better, and the residents are very happy with the results.
Our involvement in this project has been a pleasure, and it is especially gratifying to hear the positive reception from residents about their improved community space.
