Over 700 pieces of fit-for-purpose Australian made furniture
The Palm Lake Care Caloundra Aged Caring Community project that we had been invited to supply furniture for was a brand new, high-end facility, tucked away on the gorgeous Sunshine Coast, offering residents 24 hour care and support in light filled, private ensuited rooms and featuring the very best leisure facilities. They were seeking modern aged care furniture to create comfortable spaces to support their residents’ heh, lifestyle, and dignity.
We handcrafted over 700 pieces of furniture for this project in our Brisbane workshop, meeting all deadlines including an official opening. From resident’s rooms to the lounge and dining rooms, every space within the facility was furnished with stylish pieces designed for safety and comfort.
Purpose built furniture to meet the needs of elderly Australians
With the facility offering a range of care types including dementia, respite, palliative and residential aged care, the furniture crafted for this projected needed to be purpose built, with the care and support of elderly residents woven into the design of every single piece.
Upholstery fabrics were selected for their neutral colours, comfortable feel and waterproof performance. Chair design was chosen to reduce fall risk, support sit-to-stand transitions and encourage good posture.
